The customer profile defines what time-critical maritime delivery actually demands: time-sensitive delivery windows that align with vessel schedules, end-to-end traceability across collection, customs, and on-board hand-over, financial data attached to every order so cost discipline holds at the line level, and a coordination layer that ties shipowner, port agent, customs broker, and dispatch crew into one operational thread. Our methodology rests on fifteen years of systems-integration work, our proprietary EXN Middleware platform, a canonical data model honed across 90+ production integrations, and a portfolio of Odoo modules we author and maintain in-house. Marine Logistics chose Existanze for the operational backbone underneath the on-board-delivery service.
Bespoke PO Handling on Odoo, with a shipowner-facing portal
At the centre of the engagement is a fully custom PO Handling module Existanze built on Odoo. The module adheres to Marine Logistics' standard operating procedures rather than the other way around: dispatch order management runs against the customer's actual operational model, traceability follows every order from PO issue to vessel hand-over, and the financial information attached to each order, costs, charges, customer terms, lives where the operations team works rather than in a separate system.
The shipowner-facing PO Portal exposes the same data outward. Each customer signs in to their own view of every PO they have raised, with status, traceability, and a KPI overview aggregated per vessel and per port. Operations transparency stops being something the Marine Logistics team has to assemble manually for each client and becomes a first-class product feature.
With the Odoo platform in place, EXN Middleware extends the model outward to upstream and downstream systems on a canonical data model. The integration to Procureship is one example, allowing shipowner POs raised on that platform to land in Marine Logistics' operational system automatically; the same canonical model carries any further integration the business chooses to add.
