Logistics 3PLInside Cosmos Ocean Hellas
Cosmos Ocean Hellas is an independent neutral sea-freight wholesaler operating LCL and FCL services from Greece into a global network of drivers, agents, and active partnerships, with state-of-the-art facilities and shipping solutions for the handling of cargo across the regional and international sea-transport surface. The mission is the kind of statement a serious sea-freight wholesaler earns the right to make: a forward-thinking, customer-focused partner that takes care of every aspect of the transport. The customer base sits across shippers, carriers, and forwarder partners; the operational shape requires hundreds of simultaneous threads moving in parallel; and the customer expectation is real-time visibility into where every consolidation and every container actually is, with the ability to self-serve a new booking online rather than wait on an email reply. Engagements of this shape, where sea-freight wholesaling complexity meets customer-experience expectations and a deep integration surface, are exactly what Existanze's implementation practice is built for. Our methodology rests on fifteen years of systems-integration work, our proprietary EXN Middleware platform, a canonical data model developed across 90+ production integrations, and a portfolio of Odoo modules we author and maintain in-house, including the custom EXN FCL and EXN LCL modules that productise the sea-freight operating model on top of Odoo. Since 2018 we have been Cosmos Ocean's technology partner on Odoo.
Sea-freight wholesaling on Odoo with EXN FCL and EXN LCL
Cosmos Ocean runs on Odoo across CRM, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, and Website. Accounting sits on our EXN Greek Localization and EXN AADE MyData modules so every booking, settlement, and invoice reconciles to AADE in real time on the document classification codes the regime requires. CRM and Sales handle the booking funnel, the partner relationships, and the customer-facing communication. Purchase and Inventory carry the consolidation and the carrier-handling side of the operation.
The sea-freight operating layer is built on two custom Odoo modules we developed under the EXN brand, EXN FCL and EXN LCL, that together carry the full sea-freight lifecycle inside the same Odoo instance. Shipment booking and lifecycle management runs end to end across the FCL and LCL flows; sea-freight documentation generates from the same data and ties to the same shipment, bills of lading, manifests, customs entries, and port paperwork; the advanced tariff engine surfaces rate cards, surcharge logic, and cost control at the line, the shipment, and the customer level; partner EDI integrations carry booking confirmations, status updates, and carrier-side documentation directly into Odoo; and multi-currency invoicing closes the commercial layer with live exchange rates. The custom build is the point: standard Odoo carries general logistics, productized TMS carries generic transport, neither carries Greek neutral sea-freight wholesaling the way Cosmos Ocean actually runs it.
The Cosmos Ocean engagement is then distinctive on the customer-facing surface as well. We delivered a private booking portal that gives Cosmos Ocean's customers a dedicated online experience built specifically for them: shippers and partners self-serve their bookings end-to-end, raise new shipment requests, manage their booking history, and follow every consolidation and every container through full track-and-trace visibility, all from the portal rather than through the inbound email-and-phone channel. The track-and-trace layer is the core of the customer experience and runs on the live operational data: as a container moves through pickup, consolidation, vessel handover, transit, port arrival, customs, and final delivery, the customer sees the same status the operations team is reading inside Odoo, on the same canonical data model. The portal turns customer interaction into a structured, self-service flow that scales without scaling the operations team's inbox; the where-is-my-shipment phone call leaves the operations team's workload, and the booking-confirmation chase leaves with it. EXN Middleware sits at the integration boundary, carrying the partner-and-carrier data exchange that feeds the track-and-trace events into the portal in real time, so every new partner relationship is wired into the platform on the same canonical data model rather than as a one-off bridge.
We previously ran the operation across spreadsheets and disconnected tools. Existanze built us one platform that carries every booking, every consolidation, every partner exchange, and every invoice, with a private portal that lets our customers track their cargo on the same live data we read internally.

A flagship Greek sea-freight wholesaling reference on Odoo
The Cosmos Ocean engagement is one of our deeper sea-freight references and has been live in production since 2018. A neutral sea-freight wholesaler that previously operated across many disconnected tools now runs on one platform, with EXN FCL and EXN LCL carrying the sea-freight operating layer, EXN Greek Localization plus EXN AADE MyData carrying the regulatory backbone, EXN Middleware carrying the integration boundary, and a private booking portal bringing the shipper directly into the same data model with self-service booking and full track-and-trace visibility on every consolidation and container. Every booking, every consolidation, every customer interaction lands in the same operational thread.
For our practice, the engagement evidences how an Odoo implementation extends naturally when the integration architecture is built for it, the operating-model gap is closed with custom EXN modules rather than worked around, and the customer-facing surface is built as an extension of the same platform rather than as a parallel application. We are systems-integration experts and long-term Odoo partners. We use Odoo as the key business framework for our systems deployability and integration work, providing businesses with a holistic environment to achieve across the board organization transparency. We extend that surface under the EXN brand whenever the customer's operating model demands it. Cosmos Ocean is a sea-freight-wholesaling reference where the platform reaches end-to-end: from the booking screen the operator uses, through the EXN FCL or EXN LCL workflow the shipment moves on, through the private booking portal the customer uses to book and to track, into the AADE submission that closes the loop on every transaction.
